This picture hurts my heart. Look at the pain of the mother and surviving children at the murder of their children. Yes, murder, because the U.S. invasion of Iraq was justified by blatant lies propagandized by cowardly inept news media to the gullible American public still seething over the 9-11 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon.
Scott Ritter was a chief United Nations inspector in 2022 looking for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. His team found none, and reported this. But the Bush administration was hell-bent (theological use of hell) for regime change war. See Ritter’s scathing indictment 20 years after the invasion of Iraq here.
The lies and obfuscation continues to cloak U.S. direct involvement in war making. For example, award-winning journalist Seymour Hersh’s expose that the United States blew up the Nordstrom pipeline that would funnel Russian gas to Europe is not covered by U.S. media. Why? Because blowing up the pipeline is a direct act of war. And right now, the United States is content to war against Russia using Ukraine as a proxy. Again, many human beings dead, wounded, displaced, and massively grieved, while massive billions of dollars are wasted, and cities, countrysides, and infrastructure is destroyed. Evil runs roughshod.
Millions of people, each one a human being created to be in the image of God, destroyed physically, emotionally, or collaterally, by the United States government elected by citizens, many who purport to follow Jesus exclusively. The idol of war and the idol of security and power that comes with weaponry, is an insult and mutiny against Jesus.
If American does not repent, I portend harsh judgment upon America as a nation and harsher judgment upon an idolatrous “Christian” people.
